February 7th Devotion

Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

In his letter to the Romans, Paul reiterates the “Great Commission”. He understood that a disciple of Jesus Christ must share the word and teach people to obey it. Christians may be challenged when they share the Word. Unbelievers may ask, “Who give you the right to preach to me?” The honest answer is, Jesus Christ.

Isn’t it comforting to know that we are not alone. As we share the Gospel, we can rest assured of his promise to be with us always, to the very end of the age.

How can we be certain that God wants us to share His word. Let me ask this question. “How did you become a Christian?”

Romans 10:14-15 (NIV)
14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"

Share your faith with someone today. How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!

Love, Pastor Don
