Salt

Last Sunday morning, I spoke about Jesus’ prayer that God protects believers from the evil one. I believe we need to be wiser than we have been. Scripture tells us “8 Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.” 1 Peter 5:8-9.
In the USA, Protestants obtain 37.4% of all abortions, Catholic women - 31.3%, Jewish women - 1.3%, and women with no religious affiliation obtain 23.7% . 18% of abortions are performed on women who are"Born-again/Evangelical".
Among married born again Christians, 35% have experienced a divorce. That figure is identical to married adults who are not born again.
Proverbs 24:16 (NIV) 16 for though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again, but the wicked are brought down by calamity.
Matthew 5:13 (NIV) 13 "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.
