This Means War

Pastor’s Thoughts

Titanic Director Finds Jesus’ Grave

James Cameron Finds Jesus’ Grave

Documentary says “Grave of Jesus Found”

I can’t wait for backlash that will come upon James Cameron for “finding Jesus”. Oh, wait a minute. Finding Jesus would be bad for Christianity. Never mind. I am a little bit aggravated today. Once again, Jesus has been insulted. Supposedly, His remains, along with that of his mother, Mary Magdalene, and their son, Judah, have been found. Is this the death bell for Christianity? I have a different thought. I have no real interest in Cameron’s motives. Could it be that Satan is trying to set Christians up for the biggest hoax yet? The book of Revelation says that the anti-Christ will set himself up as God, deceiving the inhabitants of the earth. He also receives power to make war with, and overcome, the saints.

He you ever read a book, or seen a movie that has one twist after the next. By the time you get to the end, you don’t have a clue of what is really going on. You are led to believe one thing after the next, and then the surprise ending makes sense of the whole mess. Well, keep this in mind. The whole world will believe in the Jewish God before Jesus returns. Revelation 13:10 says “This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the saints.”

I would also like to take this opportunity to remind you that our weapons are not like the weapons of this world.

Galatians 5:22-26 says” But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

This is exactly what this newest attack on our Lord Jesus, requires.

Love, Pastor Don

Family

We cannot choose what family or country we want to be born in. We have no choice of parents or relatives. Thankfully mine kept their wedding vow, ‘til death do us part’. My older brother kept his wedding vow, as did my younger brother. I suppose there were disagreements and spats, but they had enough sense and stability to overcome and stick together.

The offspring produced a pattern of messed up lives – marriage, divorce, remarriage, or worse yet, living with a partner. A de facto relationship may be recognized by governments, even to the point of joint ownership of property. A common law wife can claim property. That, too, can have its problems, difficulties, uncertainties and disappointments. And what about children who are involved?

What does God think about this? The Bible calls such situations adultery. There has been so much of this in my family that I don’t know who my relatives are. Little wonder that I enjoy the deepest respect, love and loyalty of my Japanese brothers and sisters in the Lord.

Because of various responsibilities, I didn’t get to attend my older brother’s 50th. Wedding Anniversary celebrations. When he was nearing his 60th. , I planned to go and help celebrate. I made arrangements, preparing the itinerary and packing. I called my brother and related my plans and added, “Hang in there. I’ll see you soon.”

He replied, “I’m not so sure.” He seemed to know his time was limited. Later I got a phone call and attended his funeral rather than his anniversary celebration. Were it not for my Japanese family, I would have felt quite alone in the world. They helped me prepare, and supported me in my grief.
